One more lesson on silent letters today before a quiz tomorrow. You have a crossword to complete and clues to help you. If you can print it off, super! If not, it should take around just 5 minutes to copy out. Good luck – I wonder how many of you can complete the whole grid?

Hot write day take 3!
Again, everything is in the video below.
Today is all about making that excellent ending. Remember the trifle – we don’t want to get through the lovely layers of cream, sponge and custard to find washing up liquid at the bottom! In the same way, we don’t want to read your wonderful stories to find a boring ending!

Here’s a reminder of the order to go through today as said on the video:
- Read through yesterday’s work
- Look at the assessment sheet and make a note of 3 or 4 elements that you will try to include (like I did in green)
- Choose some Year 5/6 words to include
- Write up sections 3 and 4 of your story. Take your time and enjoy!
- Read back through to check for any silly mistakes or small edits.
