At All Saints', we have tailored the Jigsaw PSHE curriculum to support all pupils in our school. Each half term, we explore key concepts with our pupils, with every class building on their knowledge of the following topics each year:

  • Being Me in My World
  • Celebrating Differences
  • Dreams and Goals
  • Healthy Me
  • Relationships
  • Changing Me

We beleive that the teaching of these concepts supports our pupils to ensure a good start to the year with their class whilst devloping thier understanding of British values, work and play together with their peers and aim high to meet their ambitions. We then help pupils to think about looking after their physical and mental health, develop healthy relationships with their peers and family and ensure an age-approiate knowledge of their changing bodies.

Throughout all these PSHE sessions, pupils focus on three key skills: understanding, discussion and reflection. We develop these skills from Year R to 6, seen in the progression document below, with our key intent being that pupils interact with their learning and use it within their daily lives within and outside of our school.

Our PSHE Subject Champions

A key element of our PSHE curriclum is our 'Solve It Together Technique'. This is taught and revised throughout their years in our school to help pupils work through any small disagreements together, giving them the agency to solve problems and consider others' point of view.
