Sport Premium Funding
The government currently provides additional funding to primary schools to improve the provision of Physical Education (PE) and sport in primary schools. The funding is ring-fenced for the sole purpose of providing PE and sport provision in schools.
Use of the Sports Premium at All Saints’ C of E (VA) Primary School:
Last year (2018/19) the funding for All Saints’ was £18262. This was allocated in the following ways:
£8890 was spent on the employment of specialised sports coaches who, in addition to providing high-quality PE sessions for the children, provided training for teachers and support staff.
£2350 was spent on the employment of specialist Sports Instructors to teach after school sports sessions. These were offered free to children as a result of being funded by the Sport’s Premium.
£2955 was spent on JIGSAW PHSE health and relationship education. This was used to promote healthy living, resilience and mindfulness across the school.
£102 was spent on sports’ clothing and equipment.
£70.00 was spent on membership of the Harwich & District Primary Sports Association (HSA).
